BOOGIE Under the Stars in Canarsie

This Sunday, we're bringing the movies back to the neighborhood.

Join PaleFO Cinema, in collaboration with the Canarsie Merchants Association, The Flossy Organization, and Shoot for the Stars Foundation, for a free outdoor screening of Boogie in the heart of Canarsie, Brooklyn.

As part of PaleFO Cinema's mission to bring cinematic experiences to communities without neighborhood theaters, this special evening transforms the Canarsie Municipal Parking Lot into an open-air movie experience where culture, community, and storytelling come together.

The featured film, Boogie, follows the journey of a young basketball phenom chasing his NBA dreams while navigating family expectations and identity in New York City. The film also features Canarsie's own Pop Smoke, making this screening an especially meaningful celebration of his hometown just days before Pop Smoke Day and the Pop Smoke Fashion Gala.
